These data cannot be assigned to specific persons and will not be combined with other data sources. We do however reserve the right to subsequently examine the data if concrete evidence of an illegal usage becomes known.

Use of cookies

Cookies are small files which allow the storage of device-related information on the access device of the user (PC, smart phone, or the like). They do not cause any damage there. They do not contain any viruses and they also do not allow to spy on you. Their purpose is not only to enhance the user-friendliness of websites (for instance by storing of login data, language preferences etc.), but also to record statistical data on website usage, as well as to analyze them to improve the range of products and services.

The cookies used by IKA have an unlimited lifespan. If the corresponding server of our website is accessed again by the user of the website, the browser of the user will return the previously received cookie to the server. The server can then analyze the information received by this procedure in various ways. Cookies can for instance facilitate the navigation on a website or regulate advertising. (At present however IKA does not display third-party advertising and therefore does not use the cookies for this purpose). Even these data are collected only anonymously or in the form of pseudonyms.

Data collection by using Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider of this service is Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses what is known as "cookies", i.e. text files stored on your computer, which allows an analysis of how you use the website. The information on your use of the website created by the cookie is as a rule sent to a Google server in the USA for storage.

In the event of the activation of the IP anonymization on this website your IP address (i.e. the unique internet address of your device) will however be shortened beforehand by Google within European Union member or other states that are parties to the European Economic Area (EEA) Agreement. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address will be transmitted to a server in the USA and will be shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to analyze your use of the website, to prepare reports on the website activities and to provide further services in connection with both website and internet use for the website operator. The IP address sent by your browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software; please note however that in this case you will not be able to make full use of all the functions of this website. You can in addition prevent the recording of data created by the cookie in connection with your use of the website (including your IP address) for Google as well as the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in that is available through the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Links to various social media websites

Various links to external IKA web presences with social media providers and platforms such as Facebook, Xing, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. have been implemented within our websites with buttons. These buttons however are no plug-ins and as a result do not trigger any automatic data transmission to external operators while you visit our website. When you click on these buttons a connection to the respective external website (e.g. the social media platform) is established and this page is loaded. The information created in the process can then by way of cookies be used (on condition that you have not declined the use of cookies) by the operator of the relevant website to identify the origin of your website access. As these websites are operated by third parties whose headquarters may be outside the EU or the European Economic Area (EEA) the level of data protection may not be adequate.
