The Trayster overhead shaker and Loopster rotator ensure gentle yet effective mixing processes
IKA Werke is adding two innovative models to its range of shakers. The Trayster overhead shaker and Loopster rotator are both available in a "basic" and a "digital" version. IKA now offers devices to cater for all shaking movements commonly required in laboratories: orbital shakers, reciprocating shakers, rocking shakers, vortex shakers, roller shakers and overhead shakers, as well as rotators and incubator shakers.
The Trayster basic operates in vertical rotation at a fixed speed of 20 rpm. This device produces a gentle but highly effective mixing action that is ideal for bio-logical samples such as blood. Powder and liquid samples up to 50 ml in vol-ume can be separated or mixed in Eppendorf tubes and Greiner tubes. The attachments for the Trayster are also appealing to users. Up to three different attachments can be fixed onto the device for various applications. The attach-ments are easy to remove and quick to clean. The Trayster can also be used in incubators at temperatures between 4 and 50°C.
With the digital version, the speed can be infinitely adjusted from 5 to 80 rpm. The timer can be used to set the shaking duration from 1 second to 99.9 hours, and the set duration can be read from the display.
The Loopster models are real all-rounders. The rotators mix gently and effec-tively at a fixed speed of 20 rpm (basic model) or an infinitely adjustable speed of 5 to 80 rpm (digital). The digital version also features a timer that can be used to set the shaking duration from 1 second to 99.9 hours. With this model, too, the set shaking duration is shown on the display. The angle of rotation can be adjusted on the Loopster, making the device suita-ble for a host of mixing and shaking tasks. The various attachments available for the device make it extremely versatile. The Loopster can also be used in incubators at temperatures between 4 and 50°C.
The Loopster models are ideal for handling biological samples, but also for per-forming separating and mixing operations in powder and liquid samples up to 50 ml in volume in Eppendorf tubes and Greiner tubes. The attachments are also easy to remove, making it quick and simple to clean the device.
