IKA-Werke Germany has received no fewer than three prestige awards in the last six months, impressively underlining the company’s leadership in the laboratory equipment market
This past spring a total of four laboratory systems received the renowned “red dot design award: product design”: the Eurostar 40 digital stirrer together with the Eurostar 200 control, the T 10 basic, the T 25 digital dispersing systems and the patented UTTD control (Ultra Turrax tube drive) were chosen as winners by the 30-strong jury of international experts. This jury reviewed a total of 4,515 products from 1,800 manufacturers and designers representing 58 countries. With this strong performance, IKA demonstrated not only it’s commitment to outstanding quality, but also that design is an integral part of innovative product development.
In addition to the successes of this past spring, in June came the good news that IKA was regarded as one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. The “Top 100” award was presented to IKA by Ranga Yogeshwar in Friedrichshafen on 22 June. The assessment of IKA’s innovation management under the scientific direction of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation of the Vienna University of Economics and Business earned the long-established company a place among Germany’s leading innovators.
At almost exactly the same time, the panel of judges at the ACHEMA placed IKA’s “Tube Mill control”, the world’s first batch mill with single-use milling vessels, on the shortlist for the Achema Innovations Award. This award is sponsored by the trade magazines “Laborpraxis”, “Process” and “PharmaTEC”.
