IKA opens branches in the United Kingdom and Poland
The leading manufacturer of laboratory equipment, analytical and process technology has opened new offices in Oxford and Warsaw
With the opening of offices in the United Kingdom and Poland, IKA has set two more milestones in its on-going course of international growth and is now one step closer to its strategic goal of being locally present. The centrepiece of the branches in Oxford and Warsaw is a showroom in which the latest products from the laboratory equipment and analytical technology portfolio can be presented.
‘For Germany, Poland is one of the most important markets in Central and Eastern Europe, and the UK has been an exciting market for our product portfolio for many years’, says René Stiegelmann, owner and CEO of IKA. ‘The reason for the opening of the new branches is not only to develop new markets, our objective is also to be closer to our British and Polish customers, and to be their partner in finding solutions for scientific challenges.’
Being a winner of Germany’s Top 100 Innovator award for most innovative mid-sized companies, IKAs focus is proximity to customers. This proximity is instrumental for timely identification of needs and demand as well as an initiator for the development of new and innovative products. Laboratory equipment made by IKA is found in almost all laboratories around the world. This applies to the entire product portfolio – from magnetic and overhead stirrers to shakers and rotators, dispersers, mills, baths, chillers, circulators, rotary evaporators and laboratory reactors.
‘We are now in the position of offering immediate customer and warranty services on the spot’, explains René Stiegelmann, ‘This has always been, and continues to be a focus for our customers in the UK and Poland’.
With a history reaching back over more than a century, the German company began its successful course of global expansion in 1985. Following the founding of the factory in the USA, 1995 saw the establishment of the Asian subsidiary in Malaysia.
As result of the on-going expansion of IKA in the following years, the company is today also represented by its own branches in China, Japan, India, Brazil and South Korea.
